Choosing Lawn Mower Parts - Things to Consider

If you like to have a green lush lawn around your house you have to give a thought to maintaining it also. Lawns with uncut grass and weeds are a dampener to the viewers. A well-kept lawn speaks volumes about your personality and your life values. It is a true reflection of the effort you make to keep everything fit and fine and in shape. To mow the lawn you are going to need a lawn mower and there are plenty of types available in the market. So while choosing the lawn mower parts you must consider the following aspects.

Size of your lawn:

If you have a small lawn a manual lawn mower would do the trick. Push mowers are highly popular and easy to operate. They have fewer breakdowns and hardly need any spare Briggs and Stratton Parts. They cost less and offer the right solution for level and small lawns. However, for larger lawn sizes you will need the powered ones. You get the electric lawn mowers for medium sized lawns. For lawn sizes up to  3/4  of an acre you can go in for walk behind engine powered lawn mowers. For yards more than  3/4  acres you can consider a rear engine riding mower or a lawn and garden tractor.

Terrain:

The terrain is an important consideration in choosing the right Husqvarna Parts. If there are obstructions, trees, shrubs then you would need a speed control in your lawn mower to allow you to slow down and get the desired cut quality. However, if it is a large open yard you would need a high speed performer. For a hilly terrain you need a self-propelled lawn mower with a good horse power rating and speed control feature. Gas-powered lawn mowers are recommended for cutting through tall and thick grass.

Discharge parts:

The mulching attachment ensures that the cut grass is further shredded to small tidbits and spread out in the mowed lawn. The grass cuttings fill in the gaps and cannot be made out. Also they act as manure for the grass subsequently. If your grass is too long you can go in for a bagging attachment to avoid any clippings scattered in the lawn after it has been mowed.

Mower width:

A 20" mower width is the one that is normally used for small lawns. The width will go up to the 28-42" range as you go in for powered versions of the lawn mower and for larger lawn sizes. For additional information, visit the site at http://scribblenauts.wikia.com/wiki/Lawn_Mower.
